2 ways in which I have been a victim in the last month.
( this is my first time living remotely near a city)

Senior Citizens

Now don't get my wrong, I love my senior citizen grandparents, whom I refer to as G'ma and G'pa . I believe they have most of their wits about them, but to the other seniors over 70... SH$T, STOP DRIVING IF YOU FORGOT HOW TO! 2 weeks ago I, and by I, I mean my Jetta was hit by a senile 71 yr old woman and her crazy 71 yr old friend at the Main/Humbolt intersection. I'm on my way to school and she's on her way home from BINGO! WHat's worse is that she thinks she had a green light! According to everyone else I had the right of way and she tried to make a left on a red light, thus smashing my poor little car :( I was fine , but the EMT's insisted I be strapped to a board and shipped fast as lightening to Sisters hospital, which I could have walked to saying it was on the corner of where the accident scene was! So I spent the next 2 hrs, head duct taped to a stretcher, alone, cold, and perfectly OK. Then the hospital lets me go after abusing my insurance by taking 6 X-Rays. I leave with no ride home. I called everyone I knew in the area and of course everyone was at work or in class.... where I should have been. Out of no where an old family friend comes around the corner and says she's there to pick me up. My parents had called her... shew! So I'm ok, the car is totalled, and all I have left of her is the VW emblum that I stole off the grill.

I went to some bar party last thursday and was having a blast. OK i need to make this part short bc i expended too much energy on the first part of my story...

Coming to you live, here I am for the first time. So you want to compare notes on what its like to live around here, namely Elmwood Ave. Well its only been a few weeks since I've become a resident here and so far I'm impressed. Kinda of funny actually.... here's a little story....

3 years ago I was up visiting the area, not knowing exatly where I was.... ok I was lost... and I ended up sitting at a local cafe with a friend who shared my journey. We sat looking out the window at the LIFE that surrounded us. It was nothing like our small town at home. People running with their dogs, reading in the park, and the indiviuality of everyone. I left this place and had almost forgotten about it, it had become a lost love....
3 years later,I'm looking for apartments in Buffalo in an area that thrived with college life. It was 5 o'clock and most places werent taking calls anymore, it was also my last day in town. My roommate had picked up an Art Voice and we'd found the place we're currently in, the owner did us a favor and showed the place to us. A month later I move in... and begin walking down the street, only to find...THIS IS IT! This is the place that i'd fallen in love with years ago.
